If we can reverse that process of getting caught up in a stress loop, catch it in the here and now and realise what’s going on that, this is an old habit playing out and plays out in many manifestations in many ways.
But to catch it at that point and to just stop to breathe, to be, to drop into that state and practice self compassion then. That is when we need it the most, to break the cycle, recognise what’s happening and choose differently, choose to stop the self recrimination and beating ourselves up.
Instead to lavish ourselves to flood ourselves and self love, compassion, understanding, awareness and just take some time out just to be with those parts in us to accept them acknowledge them validate them deeply and choose differently for them - what do you need to do?
