Dont let self development become another hard task master - embodied therapies

You may feel unsafe in your body after trauma, a sense of having no trust in your body, especially if it was the place of trauma, if things were done to your body.


You may feel you no longer trust your body and wish to avoid feeling into your body.


We can end up using all sorts of strategies to avoid being in our bodies, ranging from moving into the head, to all out disassociating and using addictive practices to avoid feeling and being present in our bodies.


Know that there are safe ways to return back into your body, to come to some sort of resolution and trust in your body.


With practices, healthy ways and strategies to support you to come home to yourself, trauma does not need to be a life sentence.
