Interoception is inner noticing - the most empowering action we can take when feeling overwhelm and anxiety as we are then able to act upon this.
Focus on the state not the story.
When our minds are running wild and we’re trying to shut down the monkey mind, the endless chatter, the relentless conversations we might have over and over in our minds, think about dropping into the body instead of trying to tame that mind or change that mind.
Our power lies within our physiology. If we can notice then change the physiology, we get to change our mind.
So focus more on what’s going on in your body. Check in with yourself - it might be quite a strange thing to do.
Check what feelings bubbling in your body, where you might feel tension, tightness, soreness, aches, pains. Where you might have flighty energy that you need to release and let go of. Harness this, focus on this.
Shift the physiology and your mind will change.
