We don’t choose consciously to abuse our own bodies, to over exhaust ourselves and put ourselves through our paces.
However when we are not aligned – mentally, physically, emotionally, energetically, spiritually. When things aren’t great in our lives perhaps relationally, at work, at home or in our social life; when something isn’t quite right, then we are behoven to check out what’s going on for ourselves and is there self abandonment occurring all the while.
Self abandonment can manifest mentally and physically, emotionally, energetically and relationally, and self abandonment can show up in our lives, in obvious and less obvious ways.
To reiterate, this isn’t something that we do on purpose. We don’t choose to have stress in our lives we don’t choose to self abandon.
We learn these self abandonment techniques in childhood, we learn from our primary caregivers first and foremost.
Also, self abandonment can be very a powerful form, a very powerful strategy to survive our childhoods.
