If you are stressed, consider somatic massage or somatic coaching and know that your body has a whole set of inbuilt ways to help you manage your inner states.

I love my coffee, my morning coffee and what I can do is make my coffee and then suddenly be answering emails, checking messages, even squeezing in a bit of washing up; doing anything in between and of those sips.

And afterwards I can hardly remember the experience of actually having drunk my favourite coffee.

So if I drop in, be present, enjoy my coffee 100%, commit to enjoying it, being with the coffee, sitting still for a few minutes, only a few minutes a day - I get to really be present with that coffee and present with the experience and remember it and savour it.

And this is mindfulness. Whatever the action is, be present with it fully engaged, committed; honour the moment, honour the experience.

If our life can be full of those little engaging experiences where we’re fully committed to whatever it is, we’ll have a much more complete, full, satisfying life that brings us joy throughout our day.
